Failure of Classical Physics

Appearing of Quantum mechanics create a greate revolution in physics society. It replace some of the major misconceptions that widely used in Classical Physics, viz.

  • Classical Physics could not explain phenomena related to Atomi Domain.
  • It couldn’t explain the spectral lines of Hydrogen Atom.
  • It couldn’t explain the stability of Atom.
  • The enormous range of conductivity of metal as compared to insulator also not not explain by classical physics.
  • It couldn’t explain why range of magnetic susceptibility of metal is very high.
  • Classical physics couldn’t explain the emission of alpha-particle from a nucleus despite of fact that it has insufficient energy.
  • The Specific Heat Variation with Temperature also not explain by classical physics.
  • Some phenomena such as Photoelectric Effect, Crompton Effect, Raman Effect, Black-body Variation,etc. also couldn’t explain by Classical Physics.

By considering all these facts, the Classical Physics couldn’t adopted to theory of Quantum Physics which later developed, That’s why Classical Physics Fails.
